That bit in 'Pretty in Pink' when Andi is out with Blaine and Ducky is shown just lying on his bed in his dark bedroom listening to 'please please please' is one of my favourite bits of 'music in film' ever.
Yes, it's a great moment. Those John Hughes films of the 80s had some great soundtracks, for sure!
I love self-pitying songs! I keep meaning to make myself a whole mix CD full of them! Those are three great ones.
