I own but two Girlfrendo singles - Heartbreakers and Air - but they're both dead good. From 1997, Heartbreakers calls to mind a more Swedish, more twee, equally shouty version of Shampoo. Only with bags more charm. Singer Josephine Olausson now sings with indie rockers Love Is All, by the way. I'm not so keen on them, mind.

I hadn't heard of Bad Dream Fancy Dress till you mentioned them, but am listening to them on Last FM now, and you're right - very similar. Curry Crazy is magic! I think I'm going to have to buy their album now. Good stuff.

BTW, reading up on BDFD I see they're from Leigh-On-Sea which is pretty much a stone's throw away from where I grew up in south Essex. Dunno how I managed to miss them really!
