Long Live Helen Love

An old favourite from Helen Love today to celebrate the release of her/their new 7" single Calm Down Dad, which is out now on Spain's Elefant Records, and which can be ordered from the Elefant webshop. (Sadly there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the web where you can stream the song at the minute. It's a belter though, trust me.)

Is there any chance that you could re-post Shook Me All Night Long by the Darlings. I seem to have deleted it, bugger.

Cheers

HM: Cheers! Glad to hear its streamable somewhere at least. (I had the song to hand already but am always a bit averse to putting new singles up on the blog as mp3s Just isn't cricket.)

You can actually stream the whole single at their elefant website:

OK, so you can pretty much stream it everywhere! Sherlock Holmes I ain't!

BTW, YouSendIt seem to be playing silly buggers tonight, so if anyone's having trouble getting that Darlings mp3 above, try again later and it should be fine.

I went nuts for Hele Love after hearing Roickawayy Beach For Me, Heartbreak Hotel For You from Radio Hits 1 way back when and promptly fell in love with erm.. Helen Love and another Damaged Goods band - now then, who remembers Cuckooland (they were formed from the ashes of a band called Shelley's Children and made the best bubblegum pop around. If you can track it down, check out their debut album called Pop Sensibility!

Whoops - sorry about the spelling mistakes on that last one!

No worries! Ah yes, Shelley's Children were great. I've been meaning to put up Circle Line for absolutely ages. Such a fantastic song.

I never quite got round to hearing anything by Cuckooland, though, ironically! Still on my 'to do' list.

I'll try and send you some Cuckooland if poss - what's your blog email address?
