Ooh, Betty

Bit late with this one but in the wake of the sad death of actress Betty Driver this week, here's John Shuttleworth's musical paean to the character she made her name with. Truly, the Rovers won't be the same without her.

Oof. Quite a jaunty rhythm isn't it.

They really don't make em like Betty any more.

And I wonder if it'll 'kick off' in the Rovers tonight following the remarkable scoreline at Old Trafford? Perhaps Emily will glass Kevin Webster.

As long as it's not the other way round. The last thing I'd want to see would be him bashing the Bishop on national TV.

By the way, I cannot wait for Match of the Day tonight.

True. And Kevin would really be hit with a bokkle and end up in hospikal.

I'm sure that Fergie will graciously acknowledge that Utd were humbled and there may be a new dawn breaking within the Premiership? It's only Oct, but what with Chelsea's petulant loss and all.

Obviously, Man City and QPR have bankrolled their way there, but still - it is funny to see the £300golden boot on the other foot.

And I may finally be getting a grip of this Fantasy Football League lark.

Yes, there's no stopping you now. It definitely takes a year or two to properly acclimatise to the old fantasy football lark.

I heard some of Fergie's post-match MOTD2 interview on the wireless earlier and - unbelievably - he seemed quite stoical and almost gracious in defeat. Must've been the shock!

Oh - and now Jimmy. It's all too much.

No no, still around Dickie. Just been in more of a tweeting frame of mind than a blogging one of late (in other words, I am a lazy bastard). Will try to get my blogging arse into gear, so to speak, ASAP though.
